Moray Remembers

100 years after the Armistice a pamphlet retelling the stories of the Edinkillie men who died in the Great War is being published.  A poignant reminder of the men who gave up ordinary lives for the trenches.  Copies available at Edinkillie Church, or read it online here.

Morayshire is one of the driest and sunniest parts of the country - often basking in sun when the rest of the country is shrouded in mist.  In fact its excellent climate made it a favoured holiday destination for the Victorians who described their surprise at the lovely climate and early harvests.

Met Office data shows that Moray bucks all the Scottish stereotypes with less rainfall than Eastbourne on England's sunshine coast, and more winter sun than London.
